Body Measuring Techniques   Correct and accurate measurements are the most important part of seeing actual size-loss. If you make a mistake on your measurement, the client will not be happy with the wrap, even if it was applied perfectly.   Have your client stand with their feet about a foot apart with their hands in their hips. Notice that the wider stance of the client permits you to move the measuring tape around the arm and leg, thus getting a more accurate measurement. Client's hands should be on hips, fingers pointing toward the stomach while the arms are being measured. MEASURING FOR THE MIDRIFF (rib cage under the breasts). Place the hands on the head to measure above the bra line (over the breast, through the armpit, across the back). Note the position of the elbows. Be consistent before and after the treatment. The client's hands should now be on directly on the crown of the head, fingers interlocked. The locking of the fingers will guarantee an accurate placement, thus allowing the weight of the arms to fall naturally. When measuring over the rib area, have the client breathe in, then let all the air out of the lungs to measure.
